The micro:bit, measuring just 4cm by 5cm, is a micro controller which children can use to code and create anything they set their minds to.
We’re really pleased that applications for our second micro:bit giveaway open at midday on Wednesday 11 January!
The qualify for this offer your Code Club must be registered on our website, currently active and have been active on 14 December 2016.
Qualifying clubs can apply for micro:bits from 11 January 2017 at 12pm, until 12pm on 1 February 2017.
Log in to the Code Club website to find your micro:bit voucher code. You can find this in the same place as you find your Club ID and PIN.
Click the apply for micro:bits button at the bottom of the page, which will take you to the website of Pimoroni (who are helping us send the devices). Enter your voucher code here and click apply
You will then be directed to PayPal where you will see your delivery address and pay £5 for postage and packaging.

We’re so excited to be able to have this opportunity to send micro:bits to our Code Clubs. As with all good things, there are a few rules, so here is the deal:
To apply for micro:bits, your Code Club must be registered on our website, active and have been active on 14 December 2016.
This offer applies to UK clubs only.
Each club can only apply once.
If you have previously applied for and received micro:bits through Code Club, you will not be eligible to apply again.
Each qualifying club that applies is guaranteed to receive a minimum of four micro:bits.
Each club will receive the same number of micro:bits.
Each club will need to pay £5 for the postage and packaging to receive their micro:bits. UK postage only.
Applications open on Wednesday 11 January 2017 at 12.00pm and will close on Wednesday 1 February 2017 at 12.00pm.
Devices will be sent after the application window closes.
Applications will be processed by Pimoroni. Each club will receive a unique single use voucher code to use on the Pimoroni site. This voucher code has no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The micro:bits have been made available for Code Clubs by the BBC for use in Code Club sessions. They should not be given to children or volunteers to keep, but must remain available for the use of the whole club.
Please take note of the advice in the micro:bit student guide that will be included in the package with the micro:bits.
If you’re not using the devices, please consider sending them back or passing them on to another club. Do not sell them on.
